Two Emotions, One Activity
Creating a Mood
Illustrations have to give a mood, a feeling, an emotion to be able to communicate to a viewer. For this project, I created two Illustrations based off of the topic of "College Life". Producing two illustrations that contrasted each other, one giving the mood of quiet, and the other, creating a mood of loud. In the end, I ended up choosing the same activity producing completely different mood settings.

Two quiet and Two loud sketches were produced from those thumbnails, two of which needed color emphasis to produce the mood of loud and quiet.
I ended up advancing the two sketches that didn't need color emphasis to understand the mood, both so that the color was an enhancer to the illustration created, rather than being the focal point itself, and because these two illustrations included the same activity, allowing them to become a set together.
